I don’t normally leave reviews unless something is very outstanding, which this instrument is. This compass combination divider is made with high-quality and functions perfectly. I use it for measurements, larger arcs and circles, and in my drafting and drawing hobby. The wooden box is made of really beautiful nicely stained and oiled hardwood with a brass inlayed anchor. The lining of the box is also excellent.I read some reviews where people indicated that the compass/dividers do not fit in the box without disassembly. This is not true. I’m not sure it shows in the photographs but the box is not a perfect rectangle it is slightly narrower on one end and the other. If you put the instrument in the correct way it fits perfectly without disassembly and including the attached pencil. I love how this is a two and one tool. Don’t buy the cheap compass and divider sets you see on other sites, with cheap plastic hinges and without a locking device for the dividers. This one is worth every penny I paid for it.
