Featured is a wonderful Carnival Glass Pickle Dish in the Iceland Poppy Pattern. EAPG stands for Early American Pattern Glass which dates from 1850 until 1914. EAPG is clear or colored pressed glass, early carnival glass is pressed glass that has a sprayed on iridescent coating. The Northwood Glass Company made only pickle dishes in this pattern. Pattern: Northwood named this pattern Poppy or Iceland Poppy or Verre D’or. Color: This is a Carnival Glass Pickle Dish Poppy in the pattern, blue glass with an even heavy rainbow metallic spray Design: scrolls of vines with leaves, circle of beads, poppies around the center, ribbed columns down the sides. Fenton reissued the Northwood poppy pickle dish in amethyst. They are marked Fenton.
